Background.

Finn was born as a result of ritual between a coven of witches and gods of old to summon a new power in the world. An effort to capture the essence of Calliope herself. The ritual took place sometime in the 1400's deep in the Irish hinterlands and as Finn grew older- his voice grew more and more rich with magic power. His coven raised him in traditional spells, potions and the rituals of ancient magic but that voice remained his true power. His voice could move even the most stonehearted man, it could cause flowers to bloom and rivers to flow, it inspired creativity in those who heard a few bars and strengthened the magical laylines around them with a song. As Finn grew older the coven become well loved in the area as Finn would sink the pain away from sick or dying villages. Or celebrate as a bard among happy marriages or births. Bringing extra joy to any situation. Not all good things could last, however. As Finn approached his seventeenth birthyear. As the world turned on witches, his own was torn apart by accusations from local villages and townfolks of consorting with devils and demons The home he'd known was destroyed by fear and ignorance as the people they'd once helped turned on them. The mothers he'd known all his life were torn away from him in cruel act of violence. Finn fled from his home. It took years before he was claim a new life, he found a living as a traveling bard. Inspiring and uplifting various bars and brothels he'd found himself in. He found some happiness in it- inspiring a lover in the middle of the night with a few playful words or a teasing song. In the magical word- rumours of the 'Lost Muse" spread. Fae, demons, gods, all sort to capture that voice to make their own magic stronger, their own power stronger. After all- A muse's voice could inspire an army to war or change the world. Finn stayed in the shadows for most of his life, discovering his own immortality as he did. While he could get hurt- he couldn't die of natural aging. He saw lovers and friends die year after year. As he kept to his life as a whore and a bard. Only in the modern era when he's finally step out of the shadows. His voice attracting a scouting agent, who pushed him into being the current popstar he was today.
